Well this is 40! 40 themes in 40 days ended with Magical Monday as a tribute to one of our favorite things-unicorns! We have lots of unicorn stuff everywhere in our house. We have left over party supplies and Elise even has a unicorn room. I managed the set up the night before. I feared if I had them help we would be putting away unicorn decorations for the next month!
Our day started off by getting into our most magical unicorn gear. We had our favorite doll and favorite stuffed unicorn join our class room this week. I hung up some more of our unicorn party decorations, my favorite is a sign that reads "Unicorns Are Real, The Mermaids Told Me." https://www.etsy.com/listing/569905373/unicorns-are-real-the-mermaids-told-me?ref=yr_purchases
We checked out our favorite Unicorn books:
-How To Catch A Unicorn
-Never Let A Princess Paint
-A Unicorn Named Sparkle. One of our all time favorites about a little girl who orders a unicorn but gets a goat instead.
Our magical snacks included all of our usual suspects:
-Unicorn tails (pretzels)
-Unicorn horns (rainbow carrots. I thought this was a cool find, but they will only eat the orange ones)
-Unicorn poop (tiny marshmallows)
-Magic unicorn feed (berries)
-Rainbow seeds (Easter M&Ms)
-Magical unicorn potion (pink lemonade)
-Unicorn horn shaped sandwiches. This was Elise's idea, they have really embraced theme snacks!
-We made unicorn cupcakes.

Magical Unicorn Crafts!
It was a bonanza of crafts today! We have been crafting for 40 days but my craft cabinet is still stocked and my craft wheels are still a turning! Elise made a unicorn on a broom stick all by herself. We did some additional tile painting, unicorn figurine painting, and we started a new long term craft. Santa brought them latch craft kit I had forgot about and they started it today. I remembered doing one every summer and since their kits are unicorns, today seemed like the perfect day to get started. Daddy helped get them started and they loved it. It will probably take them a few weeks but they really got into it. I will have to post the final product.
Several long term projects also ended up wrapping up this week. Elise finished reading all 500 pages of her kids Bible! She started it a few days into quarantine and she slowly read it cover to cover. Avery finished her Little House on the Prairie Book the next day. Bravo, these girls didn't inherit my ADD!
I have so enjoyed this magical time with our girls. They are at such a delightful age full of wonder, imagination, and joy. Thank you for giving me such a fun 40 days. You both make everyday magical!
