Moana Monday- You're Welcome!

Moana Monday was a must given the vast amount of Moana stuff we have on hand. We have never done a Moana party but we have hosted a few luau adult birthdays. So, we had plenty of party supplies on hand. Some of the luau stuff is more than ten years old! I have no idea why I would save leis for 10 years, who knew they would come in handy?

The morning started out with some rough seas. Elise no longer fit into her favorite Moana dress so we had to improvise. First, we tried a Moana bathing suit before she settled on a Hawaiian styled dress. We checked out all of our Moana books and sea life books from our library/book case. Avery is super into marine life so it was nice to have some kind of educational tie in for the day.

We are officially on Spring Break again this week but it is supposed to pour the entire week. I am doing a little bit of school this week to allow for some extra outside play and swim time next week.

I couldn't sleep again the night before so I went well over the top on the set up. As Moana would say "No one knows how far I will go!" I included some fun snacks: Maui Punch, Grandma's Goldfish(fish crackers), Moana Munchies, Tatomora's Treats, and Island Fruit. After school, we did a sand craft and played our Moana board game. The craft was messy but fun. I had not done this craft in a long time because last time we did it I was cleaning up sand for days. Fortunately, I was smart enough to put down a table cloth first this time.

I had a special surprise today a Facetime with Moana! We love Royally Chosen Productions and they are doing Zoom conference calls and Facetime with Princesses during this time. https://royallychosenproductions.weebly.com. The girls enjoyed singing, dancing, and stories with Moana.
