I was hoping to tie in some spring cleaning into Spring Saturday, but that didn't happen. No one was in the mood and frankly it can wait, we have some time on our hands! So instead we had a busy Saturday prepping for Easter.

We started the day by decorating our Easter tree. For the record, I know that sounds nuts. I bought a little white tree as an extra tree for Christmas and it made its way into Valentines Day and now Easter. I clearly love decorations, so what is one more at this point?

Hooray it isn't raining today! We actually saw the sun shine and got outside for a bit. Elise put on a show and the girls put on their Easter dresses for some Easter photos. Thankfully there are some folks out there willing to photoshop your Easter photos. We used asingleshotphotography.com to edit these images. I am thankful to have some memorable East photos this year.

I selected several bunny crafts for the day. I thought we would pick maybe two and that it would occupy us for the day. Nope! We blew through four of them, I looked up and it was only 10:30 am. We made bunny hand prints, bunny toilet paper rolls, sock bunnies, and of course paper plate bunnies. Links are all below. All easy to do and clearly don't take much time. Elise's technology teacher had sent over some jelly bean graphing exercises which we did for a little while with all of our jelly beans.

Later that evening we baked cookies using left over sugar cookie mix from Christmas. I had Easter cookie cutters that I think had only been used once. Food coloring made it easy to create several different colors for frosting. The girls loved decorating the cookies, especially the bunny backs. You can see my champagne in the background which made for a more enjoyable baking session.

Lisey has been busy the last few days creating an Easter party in room. We finally get to see it tomorrow. I was frustrated with her because I found she had been sneaking food and other things she shouldn't have into her room. She got really upset when I questioned her and then she said "I just want to be like you Mommy and create a fun party." Ugh not sure if she just knew what to say to get out of trouble but it worked.

Trolls 2 came out the night before and we launched into our 2nd viewing. It has been nice that so many of the streaming channel websites have released so much content for this quarantine.

The girls got ready in their Easter Pjs and put out their note and snacks for the bunny. We read The Night Before Easter by Natasha Wig. As always, they had a really hard time going to sleep which probably frustrated a tired Easter Bunny...
