Other than the Incredibles, my girls are not that into Super Heroes. I was big into Super Heroes as a kid. My brother and I were convinced we were the Wonder Twins. A few months back I tried to show my kids an episode of Super Friends but they were totally unimpressed.

I had some Super Hero ideas and decided to give it a try today and see if I could get them to embrace something new. We dug up the Incredibles costumes from the costume box and miraculously they still fit. I should have known today wasn't going to be a crowd favorite when I could only find one Super Hero book in our whole collection. It was an Incredibles book that looked like some freebie we picked up.

Super Hero Mission! Yeah!

The day kicked off with an exciting twist. Our Super Heroes mission was to do a Super Clean up job on the playroom! They surprised me and completed the mission with little complaint.

Super Hero Capes!

I had bought these coloring capes on a whim when I was picking up some books at Story Makery over the summer. I forgot to give it to them for Christmas and they had been sitting in my office closet for months. I remembered them the other day and thought it would be a good time to get out that craft. I thought it would keep them busy for a while but Elise raced to finish hers like her life depended on it and Avery the perfectionist might be finishing hers in college.

Super Hero Lunch. Bust!

I thought my snacks were fun but they didn't know who Thor was and I spent a good ten minutes describing Kryptonite. The strength builder veggies and carrots for X-ray vision were so-so. The punch was a hit because I don't usually let them have punch(but it was really colored water so score!) The Wonder Woman Water was probably the favorite. I did use new printables for the food( I know, I know I said I wasn't going to buy anything new but I am not going to count printables :) https://www.etsy.com/listing/205010089/editable-printable-superhero-folding?ref=yr_purchases I love printables by Corjl as someone who plays with design I can appreciate someone who makes an easy to use template.

Super Hero Obstacle Course.

I had great plans for a Super Hero adventure walk and to make masks but I was Super Exhausted so that didn't happen. I ended up taking a Super Nap and they spent the afternoon playing games with Daddy. They did create a Super Hero obstacle course that gave them some exercise.

We were going to watch a Super Hero movie that night but that idea was quickly laid to rest. We instead continued our mission of finishing the Star Wars movie series and watched most of the Last Jedi.
