In finding inspiration for today's theme, I came across a few quotes that made Alice In Wonderland seem fitting. "Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality." I feel like we all have fallen down a rabbit hole into some strange reality. Things become "curiouser and curiouser" as the days go by.

We did an Alice In Wonderland family costume for Halloween last year & our community puts on Mad Hatter Tea Party every year, so we were well stocked in Wonderland gear. The annual community tea party event was of course canceled, so we decided to have our own.

My favorite part of the day was having a great excuse to wear my White Rabbit onsie all day. I loved it so much I kept it on right through Wild Animal Wednesday! The girls were of course delighted about getting into full costume. Daddy was less inspired to revive his Mad Hatter costume. His quarantine hair however is starting to really resemble the Mad Hatter, so he had that working for him.

I couldn't sleep again the night before so I set up a lot of decorations again. I actually had Alice In Wonderland napkins in my closet and found some delightful printables on Etsy again. https://www.etsy.com/listing/532419599/alice-in-wonderland-decorations-alice-in?ref=yr_purchases This was also a perfect excuse to use the good china again. I can't believe it took a shut down to get me to use it on a regular basis! This was a fun set up where the more dishes you set out the better! I have a bunny cookie cuter that worked for the sandwiches and treats.

For breakfast, I set up a invitation to the Mad Hatter Tea party on the counter with the "drink me" bottle. After breakfast it was time for school and then we baked some cookies after lunch.

The afternoon Mad Hatter Tea Party was the highlight of the day and we were joined by some friends via Zoom for some tea and a reading of Alice in Wonderland. We celebrated our unbirthdays while listening to the Alice in Wonderland Soundtrack (let's be honest not Disney's best work but hey it set the mood.)

We wanted to play croquet, which was actually going to be hitting golf balls into cups in the yard but it poured today. The sleepless nights have caught up with me so like Alice I took a drink and drifted off to Wonderland quite early.
