I know I said I was going to keep things educational on weekdays, but here we are... Yesterday was a rough day filled with bad news, Elise had a tough day and I just wanted to keep the day fun. So, what could be more fun and upbeat than Trolls? We went through a big Troll phase a few years ago and had collected several Troll toys and party supplies. The girls were in two different Troll dance recitals a few years back and luckily, we had some costume pieces left. I am at least sticking to my goal of using 100% of things we already have for our theme days. By now, you have realized I am craft and party supply hoarder!

Here are some of the things we did today after schoolwork was done:

-Kicked off our day with the Trolls Soundtrack.

-Set the timer every 30 minutes for Trolls Hug time. This seemed like a sweet idea, but we were over it by about the 3rd hug time alarm.

- Wore headphones for e-learning like DJ Suki. Easy Peasy.

- Made a troll from junk in the craft cabinet using poms, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and glue. I had to help them glue the final product with my hot glue gun. I thought this craft would likely go horribly off the rails, but they surprised me, and this kept them busy for a solid hour.

- Made this easy but super cute hand print Trolls craft. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/341147740523437543/

- Had a disco dance party, we love Go Noodle.com for afternoon exercise.

- I hid a Troll in the neighborhood, and we went on a search to rescue her.

- Troll inspired dinner of all leftovers but the print outs and the setup are key. Link to download some fun signs. They liked Poppy’s Pops, Biggie’s Bug’s, and Branch’s Vegetables. Printables can be ordered https://www.etsy.com/listing/490654647/trolls-food-labels-instant-download?item_group_id=PG_490654647

- Made mini troll sized using the Easy Bake Oven. Kids love Easy Bake ovens but honestly I think is just easier to use the real oven.

- A pink bath bomb and we made our hair look like Trolls in the tub. Yikes I cannot remember when I bathed them last??
